I don't really use Reaper, but I own a license and play around a bit with it every now and then, and I haven't had any issues with CLA (or any other VST or AU plugins) in Reaper. without additional hardware, on your computer. Native means that the plugins run "natively", i.e. I paid a lot more than $99 back when the bundle was first released, but it was worth it then and now they are certainly worth the price. The user interface is very intuitive and with just a couple of faders you can dial in the sound you want. If you are a beginner or find plugins with loads of options a bit daunting, I think that the CLA bundle is a great way to get a very decent sound out of your tracks. I usually don't use any CLA plugins when actually mixing, but sometimes I do. I often use the CLA plugins on my tracks during tracking and/or composing to quickly get a more processed sound and to get a quick idea what my future mix might sound like. The CLA bundle sounds great and is easy to adjust.
